Product Details
Woven in the late 19th to early 20th centuries in the Lavar district of Kerman province, southeastern Iran, these carpets represent the zenith of Kerman weaving. Artisans used hand-spun, high-lanolin wool—often from local Kerman flocks—valued for its softness, sheen, and resilience underfoot. The combination of fine knotting and selective abrasion produces a painterly “brushwork” quality in the floral patterns, giving each motif a subtle, animate life.

Care instructions
- Vacuum periodically to keep the rug clean
- Do not soak or leave the rug sitting wet
- Blot immediately if there are any spills, and clean the spot with carbonated water and mild liquid soap
- Place furniture coasters under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening the rug
