Antique Pashmina Kaani Jamawar Shawl
Product Details
The Kashmiri Souzani embroidery emanated from Persia during the Mughal invasion of India in the 15th-16th century. The Souzani technique is one of the finest techniques used in the Jamewar style of weaving. These Shawls are first handspun by master craftsmen with exceptional skills and subsequently hand-woven on a handloom. This particular shawl has an added layer of complexity with the addition of hand embroidery. This is an extremely fine antique Jamawar with exceptional workmanship.
