The world renowned Jail carpets originated from the Mughal Empire under the patronage of King Akbar. Between 1520-30’s he brought some of the finest weavers of carpets from the most well known carpet workshops of persia to teach the jail birds the art of weaving carpets. This particular carpet is a recent reproduction of the antique designs manufactured by the priosn weavers. This is a Hand-knotted carpet and the finest wool is used to replicate the beauty and intricacy of the antique designs.

To maintain the condition and extend the life of your rug, vacuum regularly. Brushless attachment is recommended. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not pull loose ends; clip them with scissors to remove. Remove spills immediately; blot with clean cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible or use club soda for darker stains. For hard-to-remove stains professional rug cleaning is recommended. Do not dryclean carpets as the chemicals used tend to loosen the foundation.
