From the Khosran province, the Birjand rugs take their name from the city by the same name. This original piece dates back to the 1940’s, which was a tumultuous period for the carpet industry in this region given the collapse of Europe during WWII.

Description
The fine persian asymmetrical knot is the most common technique used in the Birjand rugs. Jewel tones colours and floral designs adorn these rugs and their fine wool brings forth the beauty of the weave and pattern in an exceptional manner.
