Antique Uzbek Krygyz Kafkash – Laal Gul

402,000

Most tribal rugs get their name from either the region or the tribe that created them. The Tribal Uzbek rugs, as the name suggests were made by the Uzbeki people who were spread across the central asian region. Designs from these regions tend to be bold and vivid to offset the dry and mundane surroundings.

Description

Another interesting aspect is the representative designs of superstitions, belief and folklore such as the evil eye, pomegrenate or star constellation. Each pattern has a significance and relevance to the tribe or the nomad creating it. The Kyrgyz pattern is unique due to the Chinese influences. Use of the cloud band, greek-key, Budha fruit etc are often used in these tribal rugs.
