This particular Quashgai has an ‘S’ shaped pattern that appears like a hook. These symbolisms carry many different meanings for the tribe. The motif is believed to be based on the Zoroastrian symbol of the sun. Considered as a protective motif, this is inserted in floor coverings to ward off the evil eye.
