The term Bukhara or Bokhara is commonly used to describe Tekke-faced rugs. Predominant colors used in such rugs is red, maroon becasue of the ease of availability of madder as a natural dye.

Description
These rugs are usually made by nomads on horizontal transportable looms with a different weave and are generally based on the Senneh knot or more simply known as the double knot. The wool pile of the rugs is far shorter and the design is more intricate, requiring a higher density of knots.
