Description

Considered a golden era of carpet weaving on the sub-continent, was the Mughal Period, when the great emperor, Akbar, nurtured all forms of arts and crafts. During this time, carpet weaving was introduced to prisons as a means of occupying the inmates productively and soon transpired into a lucrative form of craft.
