Our collection of tapestries is carefully sourced and acquired from various tribal cultures around the world. We have beautiful ceremonial Suzanis from Persia, exotic nature-inspired tapestries from ancient India, vibrant Iraqi pieces used to ward off the evil eye, colourful textile tapestries from the island of Sumba in Indonesia, and even some spectacular Egyptian applique tapestries dating far back into history.
Many of these tapestries are embroidered in silks and wools, but some are in cotton or locally spun fabrics too. They are carefully preserved by experts at The Carpet Cellar so that you can admire them or acquire them with confidence.
