Our Transitional Rugs are the perfect choice for buyers looking for a sophisticated palette with monochromatic designs. While there are some pieces in the collection that are deep, rich colours, you’ll find that most of our rugs in this series are created in calming hues of cream, beige, ivory, and moonstone.
The beauty of the transitional rugs collection is that they are so very versatile. In this series of transitional rugs, we have drawn inspiration from Hadji Jalili, one of the most important weavers of Iran. The motifs are derived from nature and created in the ‘souf’ technique, which plays with multiple layers for softness and luxury. We also have some designs which are recreations of the incredible Safavid carpets, as well as Souzani carpets from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
