The tribals though illiterate, themselves have an amazing sense of colours and aesthetics, as they have been involved in this art form for centuries. They, generally use bright natural dyes in the hues of reds and rust.

Some of these pieces can be irregular in shape as a few different family member each having a different level of skill work on them using natural/vegetable dyes which do not fade and hence last for a lifetime.

There are 6-7 different techniques of weaving Kilims, such as Soumak, slit weaves (Senneh), strip weaves etc.
